Ari Aster’s ‘Beau Is Afraid’ Coming To Blu-ray And Digital

A24 and writer-director Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar) have teamed up again for the unnerving film Beau Is Afraid.

Originally titled Disappointment Blvd., the movie stars Academy Award-winner Joaquin Phoenix as a mild-mannered anxiety-ridden man who following the sudden death of his mother, confronts his darkest fears as he embarks on an epic, Kafkaesque odyssey back home.

The film co-stars Parker Posey (“Lost in Space”), Stephen McKinley Henderson (Dune), Denis Ménochet (The French Dispatch), Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark), Hayley Squires (In the Earth), and Zoe Lister-Jones (the director of The Craft: Legacy). Nathan Lane (“Penny Dreadful: City of Angels”), Patti LuPone (“Hollywood”), Amy Ryan (Only Murders in the Building), and Kylie Rogers (“Yellowstone”) also star. Aster and Lars Knudsen are producing for Square Peg.

Beau Is Afraid arrives on Blu-ray™, DVD, and Digital on July 11, 2023, from A24 and Lionsgate.
