There’s no way around it; when a movie becomes a classic, studios aim to milk it for all its worth. A prime example is the Halloween-centered franchise Hocus Pocus. Last year we got a sequel (meh), and now Disney is ready to conjure a third movie.
Sean Bailey, the Disney exec who is in charge of Disney’s live-action studio, is responsible for movies like The Little Mermaid and Hocus Pocus 2. Told the New York Times that several movies are headed our way, including Hocus Pocus 3.
At the moment, no details have been revealed for Hocus Pocus 3. If the franchise’s stars, Bette Miller, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Doug Jones, it hasn’t been announced.
In Hocus Pocus 2 (review), It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century Sanderson sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the wicked witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.
