He’s a monster, Mr. Grinch, in the holiday horror parody, The Mean One, from Steven LaMorte.
The film stars Terrifier 2‘s David Howard Thornton as the iconic green villain in a Santa suit, living on a mountain high above the town of Newville. Young Cindy You-Know-Who (Krystle Martin), whose parents were butchered by The Mean One twenty years earlier, returns to town seeking closure. But when he launches a new reign of terror that threatens to destroy Christmas, Cindy finds a bold new purpose, killing the mean green monster.
Penned by Flip and Finn Kobler, The Mean One also stars Amy Schumacher, Chase Mullins, John Bigham, Erik Baker, and Flip Kobler.
The film is a co-production of A Sleight of Hand Productions, Amy Rose Productions, and Kali Pictures. It is produced by Schumacher, LaMorte, and Martine Melloul. Executive Producers include Gato Scatena, Jordan Rosner, and Zach Stampone.
The slasher that opened in theaters last Christmas has finally been gifted a home release date. The Mean One is coming to VOD on October 3, 2023, from DeskPop Entertainment.
