Truly creepy horror movies are few and far between these days, but one new movie, Cobweb, will leave you jumping at every creek and crack you hear in your house for days.
In the film, “eight-year-old Peter (Woody Norman) is plagued by a tapping from inside his bedroom wall – a tapping that his parents insist is all in his imagination. As Peter’s fear intensifies, he believes his parents, played by Lizzy Caplan (“Castle Rock”) and Antony Starr (“The Boys”), could be hiding a terrible, dangerous, deadly secret.”
I had the pleasure of discussing Cobweb with its director, Samuel Bodin. While the film marks his directorial film debut, Bodin is no stranger to unnerving horror. He delivered frights, chills, and thrills in his absolutely fantastic and creepy AF 2019 series “Marianne,” which I called “the best thing in horror to happen to Netflix this year” in my review.
Here’s what Bodin had to say about Cobweb, which is guaranteed to get under your skin.
Cobweb, from the producers of Barbarian, opens in theaters nationwide on July 21, 2023, from Lionsgate. I highly recommend it.
