There’s a new thriller headed your way that you must add to your watch list, The Passenger. It’s emotional and intense and will keep you on the edge of your seat, as well as have you invested in the relatable characters that are incredibly well-played by Kyle Gallner (Smile) and Johnny Berchtold (Tiny Beautiful Things)
In The Passenger, a young man is forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past while trying to find a way to survive when his co-worker snaps and goes on a violent killing spree.
The film, directed by Carter Smith, who is also behind the 2008 horror film The Ruins and last year’s Swallowed, is set to be released this August. Ahead of its debut, I sat down with Carter to discuss The Passenger, which is an absolutely fantastic and gripping film, as well as his path to being a filmmaker and The Ruins.
The Passenger arrives on DVD and Digital on August 4, 2023, from Paramount Pictures ahead of its release on MGM+ later this year.
If you somehow missed his previous films, you can watch Swallowed now on AppleTV, Prime Video, YouTube, and VUDU. I highly recommend watching The Ruins. You can find it on the same streaming services.
