Directed by Oscar Nominee Lee Isaac Chung, Twisters stars Golden Globe nominee Daisy Edgar-Jones (Where the Crawdads Sing) and Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick). Edgar-Jones stars as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado in her past. She now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. However, her friend Javi (Golden Globe nominee Anthony Ramos, In the Heights) lures Kate back to the plains to test a new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Powell), a reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his most dangerous storm-chasing adventures.
As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed. Kate, Tyler, and their teams find themselves in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over Oklahoma. And are facing the fight of their lives.
Twisters also stars Brandon Perea (Nope), Sasha Lane (American Honey), Daryl McCormack (“Peaky Blinders”), and Kiernan Shipka (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”). Nik Dodani (Atypical) and Golden Globe winner Maura Tierney (Beautiful Boy) round out the cast.
