After a breakout role in a killer clown horror film, actress Bowie (played by Jenna Kanell of the Terrifier franchise) finds herself grappling with the unexpected consequences of success in Faceless After Dark. Things take a terrifying turn when a deranged fan, obsessed with the movie’s horrifying and twisted clown, takes Bowie hostage.

Bound and at the mercy of this unhinged captor, Bowie is forced to confront the horrifying reality of the on-screen violence she once participated in. The line between fiction and reality blurs as the fan attempts to recreate the film’s deadly plot. Bowie soon finds herself locked in a desperate fight for survival.

Jenna Kanell not only stars but also co-wrote the script for the film along with Todd Jacobs. Raymond Wood directs the independent film, which boasts a talented cast that includes Danny Kang, Danielle Lyn, Max Calder, and Michael Aaron Milligan.

Faceless After Dark blends elements of thriller, horror, and independent filmmaking. With its tight 83-minute runtime, the film promises a fast-paced, brutal, and suspenseful experience when it opens in select theaters and lands on Digital on May 17, 2024, from Dark Sky Films. Watch the brand new trailer below that will give you a taste of the horror to come later this month.
