Get ready to be scared! Blumhouse’s newest horror icon, Chauncey the Bear, is coming home! But don’t be fooled by Chauncey’s cuddly appearance – he’s anything but a friendly plaything.

Imaginary follows Jessica (DeWanda Wise) as she relocates her family to her childhood home. When her young stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) discovers a teddy bear named Chauncey in the basement, what starts as innocent playtime takes a chilling turn. Alice becomes increasingly attached to Chauncey, and their interactions become disturbingly dark. As Alice’s behavior spirals out of control, Jessica uncovers a horrifying truth – Chauncey is no ordinary toy.

Imaginary features a stellar cast, including DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, legendary actress Betty Buckley (Carrie), and Veronica Falcón (“Ozark”). Dane DiLiegro plays the not-so-cuddly Chauncey. He sat down with us for an interview to discuss this fun, frightening flick in detail and even gave us a look at his claws.

The film is directed by Jeff Wadlow, who co-wrote the script alongside Greg Erb and Jason Oremland. With Blumhouse, a powerhouse in the horror genre, and Wadlow’s direction, Imaginary promises a truly unsettling experience that explores more than scares. This film delves into themes of family, fear, and the darkness that can lurk within the human mind.
