One of the year’s most talked about horror films is In a Violent Nature. And it has just been revealed that it is getting a sequel.
In a Violent Nature, written and directed by Chris Nash, plunges us into the vengeful rampage of an undead monster through the lens of the killer itself. Brace yourself for unsettling perspective shifts, gruesome practical effects, and a slow-burn terror.
Shudder, the streaming service specializing in all things spooky, unleashed the film earlier this summer after In a Violent Nature following its screening at Sundance, follows the “enigmatic resurrection, rampage, and retribution of an undead monster in a remote wilderness.”
Imagine this: a stolen locket resurrects Johnny, a vengeful spirit driven by a 60-year-old crime. Hungry for payback, his decaying body twists and contorts, transforming into a grotesque golem fixated on reclaiming the stolen locket. But his wrath doesn’t stop there. Anyone unfortunate enough to cross his path becomes meat for the grinder in his methodical, one-by-one slaughter spree.
The news of the sequel came via an X/Twitter post by IFC Films and promises that the sequel is “coming soon.”
