When it comes to a true filmmaking family, there’s no family like the Adams family. The parent-child team features father John Adams, mother Toby Poser, and daughters Zelda and Lulu Adams, who are a force to be reckoned with regarding indie horror. The filmmakers have a long history of creating unnerving, fright-filled films like The Devil Roams (2023) and Hellbender (2021). Now, they have a new horror movie, Hell Hole.
I had the absolute pleasure of talking with Toby and John about their wild new movie Hell Hole, which is part body horror and part creature feature. It’s a must-see while it departs from their iconic dark, gritty horror films. It’s a bloody, wild film filled with dark humor and practical effects.
Hell Hole sees a fracking crew working deep in the Serbian wilderness at odds with government-assigned environmental advisors. When they begin to drill, the workers uncover the unimaginable: a dormant parasitic monster entombed deep in the rock. Now awakened, it tears through the mining facility, searching for the perfect host.
