This September, S.K. Dale‘s AI horror movie Subservience will remind you of the dark side of technology and the possible horrors that could await us.
Starring Megan Fox, Michele Morrone, and Madeline Zima, Subservince centers on Alice, a lifelike artificially intelligent android designed to care for families. Looking for help with the housework and kids, a struggling father (Michele Morrone) purchases Alice after his wife becomes sick. Alice becomes self-aware, wanting everything her new family has to offer, starting with the affection of her owner – and she’ll kill to get it.

S.K. Dale sat down with me for an interview to discuss the movie, filming, and the topic of AI in the film industry and the world. This isn’t Dale’s first foray into the horror genre, nor is it his first film to star Fox. She played the lead in his 2021 horror thriller Till Death. While Subservience is his second horror feature, it’s clear that he has a talent for bringing dark stories to life. He’s a filmmaker you’ll want to follow.
Check out the interview (below) and watch Subservience when it arrives on Digital and Demand on September 13, 2024. You can watch Till Death now on Apple TV or Prime Video.
