We have bad news for fans of Bryan Bertino. His new horror movie Vicious is struggling to make it to theaters, with its release date repeatedly shifting. Paramount initially slated Vicious for August 8, 2025, but moved the date to February 28, 2025. Bertino’s film is currently without a release date for some reason. However, I urge you not to rush to judgment. The release likely has nothing to do with the quality of the movie. Salem’s Lot was in a similar situation before finally premiering this year.
Vicious follows “a young woman who must spend the night fighting for her existence as she slips down a disturbing rabbit hole contained inside a mysterious gift from a late-night visitor.”
Dakota Fanning (pictured) stars in the film alongside Kathryn Hunter, Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, and Devyn Nekoda.Fanning has given many great performances and has starred in movies like The Watchers and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and series like “Ripley” and “The Alienist.”
Bertino wrote and directed the film, an Atlas Independent production. Bertino has already succeeded in the genre and is behind the films The Strangers (2008), The Dark and Wicked, and The Blackcoat’s Daughter. All of which were well-received by critics and audiences alike.
Richard Suckle produces, and Melinda Whitaker serves as executive producer for the film.
We’ll let you know as soon as a new date is announced. Hopefully, it will be sooner rather than later.
