Forget the typical humans-stranded-on-an-island-hunted-by-dogs scenario you might expect. Lionsgate’s A Breed Apart bills itself as “a harrowing tale of terror.” The trailer showcases instances of humans facing off with canines and moments of levity. Virginia Gardner and her fellow Fall co-star, Grace Caroline Currey. They are joined by Page Kennedy (The Meg). The film is helmed by brothers Griff and Nathan Furst, who are putting their unique spin on the creature feature.

The island is home to a pack of legendary, man-eating dogs, and the guests are pitted against each other in a gruesome game: capture the monstrous canines before they become the dogs’ next meal.
A Breed Apart is not just about surviving the beasts; it’s about the influencers’ desperate and likely ridiculous attempts to outsmart and capture these deadly animals for their own survival. Combined with the promise of ” harrowing” terror, this meta approach suggests a film that’s not afraid to poke fun at the genre while still delivering on the scares and suspense.
