When you’re watching a thriller that leaves your knuckles white and your throw pillows thoroughly abused, you have the Director of Photography (DP)/ Cinematographer to thank. They are the visual architects of a story. They are tasked with transforming a script’s raw tension into the haunting frames that keep us up at night. I recently had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with Boris Mojsovski. In our interview, we discuss his masterclass in visual suspense on Netflix’s latest gripping thriller series, I Will Find You.
Created by Robert Hull and adapted from the bestselling novel by Harlan Coben, the series follows a father falsely convicted of his own son’s brutal murder. Just as he’s adjusting to a lifetime behind bars, a shocking whisper reaches him: his son might actually be alive. What follows is a relentless, heart-pounding race to uncover the truth about what happened. Led by a phenomenal Sam Worthington, it is a must-watch addition to your queue.
Mojsovski is the perfect wizard to paint this dark world. He already boasts an impressive, genre-heavy pedigree with stunning camera work on 12 Monkeys, Taken, and Titans. But he isn’t just a master behind the lens. He’s also a proven force in the director’s chair, having helmed episodes of Titans and The Lost Symbol. Thankfully for us, he refuses to choose between his talents, continuing to juggle both roles seamlessly.
Needless to say, Boris is a man to watch closely, and I fully expect him to keep redefining the look of modern television. Be sure to follow Boris Mojsovski on Instagram to stay updated on his latest projects.
