If you’ve ever found yourself watching a chaotic Bravo reunion and thinking, “This is great, but I wish someone would drop these women into a brutal, isolated survival situation,” your highly specific prayers have finally been answered. The 2024 campy thriller Hunting Housewives has officially landed on Netflix. And it is every bit the beautiful, high-fashion trainwreck you want it to be.

Directed by Marco Deufemia and written by Paula Tiberius, the film boasts a reality-TV royal flush of a cast. It features Denise Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), NeNe Leakes (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), Melyssa Ford (Blood, Sweat & Heels), and Kym Johnson Herjavec (Dancing with the Stars), alongside Mark Ghanimé, Martin Roach, Sergio Di Zio, and Kip Brown.

Survivor Meets the Ultimate Bravo Drama

To understand the narrative blueprint here, you have to imagine a grueling season of Survivor populated entirely by the most volatile elements of the Real Housewives cinematic universe. Hunting Housewives saves you the trouble of using your imagination by literally pitting these luxury-loving women against Mother Nature—and a few heavily armed humans, too.

The plot kicks off when Karla Dodds, Rebel Carron-Whitman, Joli Symons, and Sharell Bouvier head out for a lavish spa retreat designed to erase life’s pesky wrinkles. And to provide a brief escape from their even more pesky husbands and children. Naturally, their private flight takes a nose dive. This transforms a weekend of pampering into a scene straight out of Alive.

After crashing in the remote wilderness, the women are forced to rely on their survival skills—of which they have absolutely none. And whatever contents they can scavenge from their designer handbags.

Nature Isn’t the Only Thing on the Hunt

To make matters infinitely worse, the ladies quickly realize that the local flora and fauna are the least of their worries. There is something far more sinister lurking in the trees. Suddenly, their botched vacation morphs into a deadly cat-and-mouse game.

Can they overcome the elements? Can they evade a pack of ruthless hunters? But most importantly, can they manage to go five minutes without tearing each other’s extensions out?

You’re just going to have to log in to your Netflix account to find out! It’s the ultimate, trashy, shallow, popcorn-chomping companion for your next movie night. Just make sure to leave your good luggage at home.
