Every wealthy family has skeletons in their closet. The Grimaldis just happen to keep a literal demon in the basement.

Mad Cave Studios has officially unveiled Filthy Lambs, a chilling new horror comic series that asks a simple question: How much blood are you willing to spill to keep your trust fund intact?

Written and lettered by Paul Allor (Marvel Rivals, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), with eerie, razor-sharp artwork by Chris Evenhuis (G.I. Joe) and colors by Sjan Weijers, this series blends domestic dysfunction, occult nightmares, and pitch-black humor into a story decades in the making.

A Prayer, A Stabbing, and A Snapping Turtle

The premise kicks off in the cellar of Grimaldi Manor. The family patriarch utters a prayer, plunges a knife into his own throat. The blood flows for his demonic spectator. Meanwhile, upstairs? Three generations of clueless Grimaldis—and, strangely, a snapping turtle—are blissfully celebrating their extravagant lives.

For the last few decades, the Grimaldi lineage has enjoyed pristine wealth and glory. All thanks to an ironclad contract with Their Lord Below. The catch? The contract expires in ten years. The family’s secret is unraveling, and their “Lord” is getting impatient. Old bargains sour fast and monsters don’t like playing by the rules. However, it turns out even a filthy little lamb can bite back.

“Writing Filthy Lambs, I wondered if the woman in the basement could hear the children laughing. I knew she could smell the candles burning and feel the rope digging into her wrists. But could she hear the children? The birds screeching in the conservatory? Could she hear the family matriarch telling her children that the family is blessed? The family is not blessed. The family is haunted, not by ghosts, but by a contract forged in hell. They’re haunted by every warm and comfortable night they’ve spent in a house splattered by decades of blood.”
Pallie Paul Allor states.

“This night’s unholy ceremony will not be for the faint of heart. We’re skipping dinner… Or are we? Get ready to squirm, jump, run, scream, burst out laughing (only to soon regret having laughed; what is *wrong* with you?) A hefty dose of Hammer Horror, a pinch of Giallo, a touch of David Lynch. Clue. Yes, our latest gothic horror offering, Filthy Lambs!,  is a book very close to my heart. Also because I, too, have ferocious creatures stalking the hallways of our ancient family manor.” —Chris Evenhuis
