Grief, Guts, and a Soul-Crushing Choice
The story follows Orla, whose well-meaning friends stage a weekend getaway to help her process her overwhelming grief. Unfortunately, things take a catastrophic turn when Orla’s blood accidentally awakens the Dearg-Due, a legendary, ancient vampire pulled straight out of Irish folklore.
As the creature systematically infects her inner circle and shatters their minds, it presents Orla with a truly horrific ultimatum: become the vampire’s next host to be supernaturally reunited with her deceased family, or slay the monster and lose them forever. Talk about a toxic ultimatum.
Cast and Crew
Behind the camera, Marco Van Belle pulls double duty, having written and directed the film, with Jacqueline Kerrin and Dominic Wright on board as producers. The ensemble cast fighting for their lives includes Grace Collender, Clinton Liberty, Daisy Jelley, and Niamh Hogan. Rhys Mannion and Oskar Smith round out the cast of this gnarly, visceral treat.
