America’s favorite serial killer with a heart of gold (and a trunk full of plastic sheeting) is officially back in the Big Apple. Paramount+ has unveiled a dark first look at the second season of “Dexter: Resurrection,” starring SAG and Golden Globe® winner Michael C. Hall as the titular Bay Harbor Butcher himself.

The image features Dexter sitting down for dinner with Uma Thurman. If you look closely, you will see that the two are holding hands. Is a new romance blooming between the two?

Coming later this year on the Paramount+ Premium Plan, the new season picks up with Dexter Morgan trying to navigate the relentless hustle of New York City—where the real horror isn’t just the local murder rate, but the cost of rent and the sudden onset of a mid-life crisis.

Two Killers, One Mid-Life Crisis

From Emmy®-nominated showrunner Clyde Phillips, Season 2 finds Dexter caught in a perilous double-cross between two dangerous predators: one legendary serial killer, and another unhinged threat terrorizing New York in ways nobody saw coming.

Meanwhile, Harrison (Jack Alcott) is still carving out his own violent brand of justice, setting up a dark father-son dynamic where family therapy is definitely off the table.

A Killer Enclave: Returning Legends and New Blood

Alongside Hall and Alcott, Season 2 brings back a stellar core cast including Uma Thurman, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington, and James Remar.

The series is also adding some serious star power to the killer queue this season:

New Series Regulars include Dan Stevens (Onslaught, The Terror), Emmy® winner Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), Nona Parker Johnson (Mayor of Kingstown), and Golden Globe® winner Brian Cox (Succession). Expect cameos from guest stars such as Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), returning in her guest role, joined by newcomer Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us).

Bonus Room: ‘Dexter’s Kill Room’ Returns to YouTube

Plus, die-hard fans can tune in for Season 3 of “Dexter’s Kill Room” launching on the official Dexter YouTube Channel on Thursday, August 6 at 12:00 PM ET / 9:00 AM PT (with new episodes every Thursday). Franchise legends Erik King (Doakes himself!) and Julie Benz (Rita) will join “Resurrection” cast members Krysten Ritter and Eric Stonestreet to dissect the most iconic, bloody moments in franchise history.

Executive produced by Clyde Phillips, Michael C. Hall, Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, John Goldwyn, and Sara Colleton, “Dexter: Resurrection” is shaping up to be a bloody good time.
