-Some women preach the Gospel; others enforce it with a sledgehammer. Breaking Glass Pictures is unleashing the outrageously irreverent horror-comedy Jesus I Was Evil, and it is officially coming to free streaming on Tubi this August before expanding across additional AVOD platforms.

A Blood-Soaked Satire

Jesus I Was Evil was written and directed by Calvin Morie McCarthy (Pillow Party Massacre). It is a blood-soaked, pitch-black satire about two female missionaries whose idea of “street evangelism” looks a lot more like a serial killing spree.

On the surface, Amber and Martha seem like devoted, wholesome women of faith. However, behind closed doors, they are ruthless vigilantes violently liquidating anyone they deem unworthy of salvation. But when their latest mission involves taking a hostage, their holy war begins to fall apart. Martha develops an ungodly obsession with an agnostic young man named Christian, throwing their fanatical crusade into complete, bloody chaos.

A Talented Cast

Airisa Durand (Amityville Poltergeist), Melissa Crossland (Stolen Season), and Cameron Lee Price (1923, Chicago P.D.) star in Jesus I Was Evil. The film balances outrageous splatter effects with razor-sharp satire. It is an unapologetic, boundary-pushing ride. The film is for genre fans who like their horror served with a heavy dose of dark humor.

Jesus I Was Evil is exactly the kind of fearless independent filmmaking that horror fans love to discover,” said Richard Wolff, CEO of Breaking Glass Pictures. “Its outrageous premise, dark sense of humor, and unapologetic style make it a memorable addition to our AVOD lineup. We can’t wait for horror fans to discover it.”

So, get ready for a story about faith gone horribly and hilariously wrong. Keep an eye on your Tubi queue whenJesus I Was Evil begins its free rollout on August 16.
