It launched sequels, hit TV series, and decades of nightmares. Now, Image Comics is opening the vault once again. They are launching an all-new, mature-rated era of the Eisner Award-nominated comic series starting this September.

Two Tales of Terror per Issue
Staying true to the classic EC Comics-inspired formula that Romero and King immortalized, every single issue of the new Creepshow series will feature two standalone, blood-drenched tales, hosted by none other than The Creep himself. Even better? Each story brings in a brand-new, heavyweight creative team to spin their own twisted yarns.

Issue #1 — Arriving September 16, 2026
The first issue features 32 Pages of terror written by Tyler Boss (Universal Monsters: Phantom of the Opera). Francesca Ciregia provides the art. The debut story takes us behind the greasepaint. The official solicit teases a gory clown story where “tensions (and body parts) are stretched too thin between clown colleagues. Honk honk!”
If you’re a fan of clown-centric terror like Stephen King’s IT, this one is built for you. If you have coulrophobia… maybe leave all the lights on, double-check your deadbolts, and don’t look under the bed.
Issue #2 — Arriving October 2026 (Just in Time for Spooky SZN!)
Story One: The creative team behind I Saw Santa: A Spawn Universe Christmas Story—Chris Killian and Andrew Sanders—team up with artist Baldemar Rivas (Unearth) for a skull-cracking prison nightmare. The plot follows a disgraced former corrections officer who ends up incarcerated in the same cellblock he used to rule with an iron fist. Safe to say his new cellmates aren’t looking to forgive, forget, or let him sleep when it’s lights out.
Story Two: Writer/artist Tyler Crook (Out of Alcatraz) delivers a grim, emotionally charged tale about a fiercely devoted husband who will stop at absolutely nothing to protect his family—even from beyond the grave. (Expect this one to rip your heart out literally.)
