Spooky season has officially arrived, and the Disney Store is leading the charge with two massive new drops: one celebrating classic Disney Villains, and the other honoring the undisputed king of dark rides, The Haunted Mansion.
I was practically floating when I walked out to my mailbox and spotted a huge white parcel courtesy of the Disney Store. Naturally, I had to film an unboxing for you—the blood-pumping heart that keeps HorrorFuel going! The Unboxing & The Goods
Now, the outer mailer bag had clearly survived a harrowing journey through the postal system, but inside, the merch was pristine and wrapped tight.
First up was the Haunted Mansion zip-up hoodie. The black fabric is covered in the ride’s iconic, creepy wallpaper pattern—complete with purple faces and piercing lime-green eyes. The inner lining is ridiculously soft; calling it “plush” feels like an understatement. Honestly, I couldn’t get over it. I have Fibromyalgia, so my skin is super sensitive, so yeah, I was amazed and thrilled.
Here is the sizing lowdown: I normally wear a women’s Large, but Disney sent a Unisex 2X. Surprisingly, it didn’t completely swallow me whole! It’s definitely long, which means zero exposed belly when you reach up. Keep in mind during the video that I stand at a proud five feet tall. I am vertically challenged, and I’ve made peace with it!
After filming, I threw the jacket into the wash to see if it would hold up. There was zero noticeable shrinkage, which is a huge win. The only catch? I have to wait for this brutal Georgia heat wave to break before wearing it everywhere. My thermometer is currently screaming 98 degrees. Ugh.
