Ice Nine Kills Serves Up the Soundtrack for Art the Clown’s Halloween Horror Nights Takeover

If you thought September was too early for holiday cheer, nobody told Art the Clown. The silent mascot of horror chaos is taking over the legendary Terror Tram at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights. And he’s bringing theatrical metal maestros Ice Nine Kills along to play choir director. Running select nights from Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, November 1, “Terror Tram starring Art the Clown” will see the murderous mime hijack the famous studio backlot. And he’s bringing a sack full of premature, blood-soaked presents. To match the twisted holiday spirit, Ice Nine Kills is crafting an original score that takes a butcher-knife to classic Christmas carols.

A Match Made in Slasher Heaven

This isn’t the first time the Boston metalcore crew has crossed paths with the silent killer. Ice Nine Kills previously unleashed “A Work of Art,” the official theme song for Terrifier 3, which debuted in theaters alongside the film, amassed nearly 60 million streams, and spent 18 weeks terrorizing Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. Frontman Spencer Charnas expressed the band’s excitement over returning to Art’s universe. He notes that collaborating with Terrifier creator Damien Leone and star David Howard Thornton feels natural in their “unnatural world of horror.” For a band whose entire brand revolves around cinematic carnage, scoring a theme park attraction is basically just another Tuesday.

Art himself, David Howard Thornton, killed it in the ‘A Work of Art’ music video, and we’ve had Damien and several of his cast members at our Silver Scream Cons every year so far. Halloween Horror Nights is among our favorite destinations each season, and our fans love it, too. This is yet another natural step forward in our unnatural world of horror.” Charnas stated.

The Undisputed Kings of Horror-Metal

The Terror Tram collaboration caps off a monstrous run for Ice Nine Kills. They are currently celebrating 20 years since their debut album by effectively colonizing the entire horror genre. Their recent streak includes “Twisting The Knife” featuring McKenna Grace (Scream 7). It earned the band their first No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Its tracks for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come and Dead by Daylight’s 10th anniversary were also hits. With RIAA Gold certifications under their belt and Art the Clown holding the steering wheel, visitors stepping onto the backlot this fall should expect deck-the-halls-level dread and plenty of ear-bleeding riffs.
