Black Mandala is expanding its hit supernatural anthology franchise with The 100 Candles Game: Dark Mirror, the third installment in the globally successful saga. Building on a franchise already screened in 20 countries, this new entry plunges viewers back into the ritual’s sinister lore. All while pushing the terrifying mythology into uncharted territory.
Summoning Spirits Through the Looking Glass
The story follows three friends. They gather inside an abandoned house with a singular goal: to establish contact with Mary, a missing companion they cannot move past. To reach her, they initiate the legendary 100 Candles Game by encircling an ancient mirror with one hundred burning flames. As each friend recounts a terrifying tale, they extinguish a candle directly in front of the glass. However, every darkened flame weakens the veil between the living and the deceased. The mirror slowly transforms from a simple reflection into a supernatural gateway. Releasing an otherworldly presence desperate to cross over into our reality.
International Talent Behind and Before the Lens
Delving into heavy themes of grief, ritualistic obsession, and forbidden contact with the dead, the project brings together a formidable lineup of international genre talent. The Walking Dead, Final Destination 5, and Frozen star Emma Bell makes a key creative turn by directing one of the film’s horror segments. She joins an expansive directorial team that includes Charly Goitia, Luciano Onetti, Josh Minyard, Case Avron, Rani Naamani, and Carlos Baena. Carlos F. Puertolas, Steven J. Mihaljevich, and Rosaicela Enríquez Santillán join them.
Screenwriters Charly Goitia, Luciano Onetti, and Camilo Zaffora have crafted an interconnected mystery brought to life by cinematographer Luciano Montes de Oca.
The ensemble cast features Bel Deliá (The Tunnel, Perry Mason) and Georgia Eyers (Godless: The Eastfield Exorcism), alongside Macarena Suárez, Daniela Flaumbaum, Valentin Fernández, Carolina Hsu, and Maria Racciatti. Together, they turn a familiar sleepover ritual into a relentless race for survival as the final candles burn out.

Next came The 100 Candles Game: The Last Possession (2023). Bringing the ritual into the digital era, a team of influencers livestreams the game from an abandoned mansion. By snuffing out the candles while recounting terrifying urban legends, they awaken an ancient demonic force. This turns their viral stunt into a desperate fight for survival.
