Clocking into work is rarely a thrill, but in Nightmare Shift, everyday employment turns into an escalating descent into madness. Developed by Syrian indie outfit Binary Lunar and brought to consoles by Ultimate Games S.A., the atmospheric psychological horror title is officially making its debut on PlayStation 5.

Already haunting players on PC and Xbox Series X|S, the game transports players into the weary shoes of Emma. She’s a motel employee who begins to suspect that her graveyard shifts aren’t the only thing following her home.

The Blur Between Mundane Routine and Madness

In Nightmare Shift, gameplay blends first-person exploration, light puzzle-solving, and classic “walking simulator” tension. As Emma, players must manage real-world motel duties—checking in eccentric guests, restocking amenities, monitoring CCTV feeds, and resetting temperamental power generators.

However, as night falls, the line between routine labor and terror vanishes. A suspicious guest and unnatural disturbances begin leaking into Emma’s personal apartment, plunging her into endless corridors, maze-like illusions, and waking nightmares.

Key Features & Highlights
