The story follows Everly “Ev” Espada, whose completely average life shatters during a walk home. She witnesses her favorite teacher floating in midair, being torn apart by an invisible entity. Survival instinct kicks in. Ev grabs a nearby pipe and strikes the creature, breaking the illusion and slaying the monster. Unbeknownst to her, killing one of Earth’s Thirteen Hidden Demons activates an ancient, unyielding covenant.

A Dream Collaboration for Industry Veterans
For author Adam Tierney, 13 Demons Dead represents a personal milestone after a long career spanning video games, television scripts, and children’s books. Tierney expressed immense excitement over his very first original comic.
“I’ve been a diehard comic book fan since I first learned to read. Throughout my career as a
writer, I’ve worked in video games (LOTS of video games), TV shows, children’s books, even
music, but I’ve never had the opportunity to create my own comic book until now,” said author
Adam Tierney. “13 Demons Dead combines everything I love writing about—horror, humor,
demons, high school, bullies, and heartbreak—into a wild, 250-page graphic novel adventure.

Illustrator Saspy felt a deep personal connection to the protagonist. She noted how much she saw herself in Ev’s quiet outer demeanor and wild inner strength.
