Cineverse is bringing the festival-favorite horror-comedy Portal To Hell directly to digital platforms and Video on Demand this week.
The film follows a weary debt collector. His mundane life gets thrown into absolute chaos when a gateway to the underworld manifests inside his local laundromat. However, things quickly spiral out of control. A demon offers him a desperate bargain: deliver three souls to the underworld, or watch his neighbor be dragged straight to eternal damnation.
Festival Buzz and Horror Royalty
Written and directed by Woody Bess, the film arrives on VOD following a high-energy run across the global genre festival circuit, earning praise at Slamdance, FrightFest, the Chattanooga Film Festival, Calgary Underground, and the Vancouver Horror Show.
The feature boasts a stacked cast led by Trey Holland (Battleship) alongside horror royalty Keith David (The Thing). They are joined by fan-favorite character actor Richard Kind (Inside Out) and Romina D’ugo (12 Monkeys). Holland pulls double duty as a producer alongside Lucas Ford, Tom Watts, and Bess. Dionne Lea, Keith David, George Loucas, Matthew Dean Russell, John Frederick, and Christina Jobe serve as executive producers.

The digital premiere of Portal To Hell continues a powerhouse release calendar for Cineverse Motion Pictures Group. Following the breakout box office triumph of Terrifier 3, the studio’s genre footprint remains unstoppable. It’s also behind franchise revivals like The Toxic Avenger, Silent Night, Deadly Night, and Return to Silent Hill. But that’s not all.
