Wired Productions and horror specialists Serafini Productions have officially released their latest psychological horror entry, BrokenLore: DON’T LIE. It’s now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Expanding the sinister, interconnected BrokenLore universe, this standalone chapter immerses players in a deeply unsettling first-person narrative exploring isolation, trauma, and distorted reality.

A Fragile Reality Unravels in First-Person Horror

The story centers on Junko, a deeply isolated young woman whose life has been defined by abandonment and emotional detachment. After being left by her mother and raised by a cold, distant father, Junko retreats into complete solitude following a series of painful rejections. As her mind fractures under the weight of buried memories, prescription medication, and half-truths, her surrounding environment distorts.  Transforming familiar spaces into physical manifestations of her deepest fears. Adding to the suffocating tension, an unseen presence actively monitors and reacts to the player’s behavior in real time.

Deepening the Lore of a Fragmented World

Featuring original Japanese voice acting, DON’T LIE offers a fresh, intimate perspective on the events of its predecessor, BrokenLore: DON’T WATCH. While players previously interacted with Junko through a digital screen, this installment places them directly inside her psyche. It sheds new light on the overarching story and characters connecting both titles.

Studio creator Sebastiano Serafini said the project is a deeply personal continuation of the narrative that began with Shinji, crafted with meticulous detail to explore heavy themes of addiction, trauma, and emotional loneliness through visually memorable environments.

“I’m feeling a mix of excitement and nerves now that the game is finally about to launch. We’ve been working on it for a long time, so reaching this point and finally being able to share it with players feels very special.” said Sebastiano Serafini, the creator of Serafini Productions. “There is also something quite personal about this launch for us because DON’T LIE is connected to DON’T WATCH and continues a story that started with Shinji. I’m excited to see how people will react to Junko’s story and to the way the game expands the connections within BrokenLore. The story explores themes like isolation, trauma, addiction, and distorted perception, and there are many environments and sequences that we put a lot of care into making meaningful and visually memorable.”

Players can expect:

-A Japanese first-person psychological horror experience focused on exploration, investigation, and tension

-A deeply personal story exploring trauma, loneliness, and emotional isolation

-Distorted environments shaped by memory, fear, and perception

-An unseen presence that responds to player behavior
