The iconic horror universe birthed by James Wan and Leigh Whannell is reaching an exciting milestone. Lionsgate is officially debuting a standalone, ad-supported free streaming channel dedicated entirely to the Saw series. Arriving just in time for the Halloween season, the destination lets viewers across the United States and Canada stream non-stop horror around the clock without a subscription fee, Variety reports.
What to Expect from the Dedicated Channel
Lionsgate joined forces with LG Channels to launch this specialized pop-up experience. While the total franchise spans ten theatrical releases so far, eight of those entries will be featured in the continuous rotation.
This horror hub is part of a broader partnership between the two companies designed to turn major cinematic brands into limited-time streaming events. This gives audiences an effortless, free way to enjoy high-profile entertainment directly on their smart devices.
Future Trajectory of the Franchise
Beyond the new television network, the franchise’s future remains active. An eleventh installment is officially moving forward, with Mike P. Nelson taking the helm as director. Masterminds James Wan and Leigh Whannell remain attached to produce the upcoming chapter. And will do so under the Blumhouse Atomic Monster banner. This ensures the terrifying legacy keeps evolving.
Nelson is no stranger to horror. He’s also behind films like 2025’s Silent Night, Deadly Night, and Wrong Turn. His most recent horror film, Beware Boiúna, just hit theaters and unleashes a giant snake of epic proportions. In fact, I called it “the Creature feature of the year.’ I also described it as a heart-pounding film that you don’t want to miss.
The talented director recently joined us for an interview to discuss Beware Boiúna, filming in the Amazon, and more. Watch it here.
