Netflix subscribers just received a massive, genre-bending cinematic treat today, Carolina Caroline, is out now, just in time for the weekend.
This thrilling new film stars fan-favorite actors Samara Weaving and Kyle Gallner. Acclaimed filmmaker Adam Carter Rehmeier directed this wild, adrenaline-pumping road trip adventure. Previously, Rehmeier directed cult hits like Dinner in America and Snack Shack. Meanwhile, screenwriter Tom Dean penned this engaging, crime-filled narrative. Consequently, audiences can expect a delightfully chaotic, modern Bonnie and Clyde story.
Hunting for Answers and Stolen Cash
Initially, the storyline introduces Caroline Daniels, played brilliantly by scream queen Samara Weaving. Desperately, Caroline wants to escape her boring, suffocating small Texas town. Fortunately, her golden opportunity arrives in the form of Oliver, played by Kyle Gallner. Oliver operates as a charming, smooth-talking con man looking for trouble. Quickly, the passionate duo embarks on a romance-fueled crime spree across the Southeast. However, Caroline harbors a deeply emotional secret motive for this dangerous trip. Specifically, she hopes to finally locate the estranged mother who abandoned her. Consequently, their outlaw trek blends high-octane crime with personal family drama.
A Powerhouse Genre Cast
Samara Weaving is having an exceptionally busy and successful 2026. Earlier this year, she starred in Ready or Not 2 and Over Your Dead Body. Best known for Ready or Not and Scream VI, Weaving brings magnetic energy here. Meanwhile, Gallner delivers another captivating, unhinged performance alongside her. Horror fans easily recognize Kyle Gallner from hit thrillers like Strange Darling and Smile. Interestingly, this project reunites Gallner with director Rehmeier after their beloved collaboration on Dinner in America. Additionally, Emmy winner Kyra Sedgwick and The White Lotus actor Jon Gries lend stellar support. Finally, veteran actor Tommy G. Kendrick rounds out this impressive supporting cast.
