After successfully walkin’ Revenge Road in her first go-around, Alexis Walker (a returning Linnea Swanson) can finally put the memory of her slain family to rest.
Of course the sister, Sabrina (Legendary Scream Queen Michelle Bauer, Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers) by name, of the asshole that killed Alexis’ kin is now out for her own slice of that sweet, delicious revenge… and soon the bodies begin a-pilin’ n up!
As if all the murder biz isn’t eye-grabbing enough, one of the victims of Sabrina’s monstrous machinations is a cop so now the gendarmes are well and truly pissed and call in the assistance of Detectives Douglas (Doug Waugh) and Matt Stone (Robert Allen Mukes), to help even the score!
Ken “Ace” Brewer is back (along with co-writer Meri Gyetvay… both of which have cameo roles in the film so keep your eerie eyeballs peeled) with the sequel to his distaff Death Wish, 2024’s Death Bitch (which I reviewed right here), and things are just as frantic, at least where ol’ D.B. herself is concerned…
As the narrative vigilantes along (not a thing anywhere but in this column… okay, not even here… usually), Assaultin’ Alexis blows evil doers away with wild, gun-centric, abandon, and that is the kind o’ Grindhouse cinematic antics we generally get our jollies from ‘round here… and it’s no different here!
As all those rootin’-shootin’ goings-on are… going on, we also get some hot n’ heavy sub-plot action featuring the return of the Verhoeven-style news reports (featuring OnlyFangs’ August Kyss… also returning from Death Bitch the First), and of course the revisiting Detective duo who become involved after a fellow Detective, Steve Chase (martial arts expert/’90sDTV fight-flick star Ian Jacklin, American Streetfighter, Kickboxer 3: The Art of War) winds up with a dead partner courtesy of the sinister Sabrina (the aforementioned Bauer, who seems to be enjoying every minute of her villainous role)!
While we are inadvertently talking about guest stars, look for West Coast micro-budget horror/sci-fi mainstay Dawna Lee Heising (Robowoman, Amityville Karen) as Angelina Bass, the mayor’s wife who finds herself in scandal!
If you delight in Grindhouse revenge violence served up with an obvious reverence for the genre than sit your ass down for Death Bitch 2; it’ll scratch that itch for 42nd St.-esque action but good!
