The highly anticipated sequel Scream 7 is facing fresh horrors beyond Ghostface’s mask. Following the departures of actresses Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, director Christopher Landon has announced his own exit from the project. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to make a statement.
In a surprising twist, Landon stated, “Scream 7 became a nightmare, not a dream job.” While remaining tight-lipped about specifics, he expressed heartbreak for everyone involved and declared it time to move on. This sudden exit throws the already troubled sequel into further disarray.

Reports are that franchise star Neve Campbell has yet to sign on the dotted line, leaving us wondering if she will step away as well.
