Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar-nominated writer-director of Minari, directs. Twisters stars Golden Globe nominee Daisy Edgar-Jones (Where the Crawdads Sing) and Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick). The two are opposing forces who must come together to face the unimaginable.

A Story of Redemption and Second Chances

Edgar-Jones portrays Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by an encounter with a tornado in her past. Kate, now studying storms from her New York City office, is lured back to the open plains by her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos) to test a groundbreaking new tracking system.

There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Powell), a charming and reckless social media superstar. He thrives on chasing the biggest and most dangerous storms. As their paths collide, a powerful storm unlike any other gathers strength.

Facing the Fury of Nature

With multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma, Kate, Tyler, and their teams find themselves in the direct path of this unprecedented event. Forced to put aside their differences, they must work together to predict and, if possible, tame the immense power of these monstrous tornadoes.

An All-Star Cast and Crew

Twisters boasts an exciting cast, including Nope‘s Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane (American Honey), and Daryl McCormack (“Peaky Blinders”). They are joined by Kiernan Shipka (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), Nik Dodani (Atypical), and Golden Globe winner Maura Tierney (Beautiful Boy).

Oscar-nominated Frank Marshall (Jurassic Pak and Indiana Jones franchises) and Patrick Crowley (Jurassic Park and Bourne Identity franchises) are producing. The screenplay is written by Mark L. Smith, behind the Best Picture nominee The Revenant.
