‘Abigail’ Bares Her Teeth in New Featurette Ahead of This Week’s Movie Premiere

A new featurette has been released for the highly anticipated horror movie Abigail ahead of its theatrical premiere this Friday. In it, we see star Melissa Barrera tease the horrors that await viewers.

The Abigail movie was directed by genre experts, Matt Bettinelli-Olphin and Tyler Gillett, the filmmaking duo behind Scream and Ready or Not, whose sequel was just announced.

Farewell Dusty Castles, Hello Chilling Terror

Abigail promises to terrify audiences with a shocking and original take on these classic bloodsuckers. Forget the cobwebs and brooding count Dracula. Abigail throws out the tired vampire tropes, embracing a bold new identity.

The film follows a group of hapless criminals who make a monumental mistake – kidnapping the daughter of an influential underworld figure. While it seems like easy money, it’s anything but. As with most things in horror movies, things take a deadly turn.

From Captors to Prey

While the kidnappers’ task seems simple: watch the young girl overnight in a secluded mansion. But as night falls, a horrifying truth dawns on them – their captive is no ordinary child. Before they know it, the tables are turned, and they become the hunted. Soon, they find themselves desperately scrambling to survive as Abigail transforms from hostage to apex predator.

A Stellar Cast Faces Off Against Evil

Abigail boasts a cast that horror fans will recognize. Leading the charge is Melissa Barrera (Scream), joined by Dan Stevens (The Guest), Kathryn Newton (Freaky), and William Catlett (Black Lightning). The legendary Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”) adds his signature presence, and the talented Alisha Weir (“Matilda the Musical”) portrays the enigmatic and brutal Abigail, a character sure to leave a lasting impression.
