A fishing boat lost thirty years ago suddenly reappears in an old harbor. The Rose of Nevada has finally come home. In this forgotten village, locals believe the ship’s return is a sign. They think the town’s luck will change if the boat sails again.

Nick (George MacKay) takes a job on the vessel to support his family. He is joined by Liam (Callum Turner), a man fleeing his past. They head out to sea for what seems like a successful trip. However, their return to the harbor reveals a chilling reality. The crew has slipped back in time three decades, and the villagers greet them as if they are the original crew. They must find a way to return to their own time for the sake of those left behind.

A Visionary Maritime Nightmare

The film comes from director Mark Jenkin, the mind behind Enys Men. This haunting, atmospheric tale explores memory, fate, and the relentless pull of the sea. It is a ghost story where the living are the outsiders.
