Two teens go on a search for a stash of porno mags and accidentally revive the dormant vampire, Lorelei (Jillien Weisz)… and honestly, who of us haven’t experienced similar in our youth?
Meanwhile, Sue Anne Marie (J.J. Rodgers), and her fellow sorority pledges, have gathered for the normal initiation shenanigans.
How will those two pulse-pounding events collide? Well Sue’s sister just so happened to fend of a vampire invasion of the sorority in the past, and now Lorelei is dead-set on getting revenge by creating a cadre of fang bangers out of the assembled sisters.
But… Lorelei kinda sucks at being a vicious vamp as her years in an oblong box have lead to her not being able to transform into a bat properly and only able to make blood withdraws from her victim’s butt cheeks!
Will Sue be able to finally put a stake in this shit and call it done… or will she succumb to the teeth of the evil forces that surround her?!!
Writer/Director Les Sekely definitely made Vampire Time Travelers a real stand out from the usual S.O.V. fare, as while his film features vampires and (mild) titillation it never fails to be completely tongue in (ass) cheek… and as deliriously ridiculous as it possibly can be!
Vampire Time Travelers is as close to being a cartoon as possible without being animated (think more Toxic Crusaders than Ducktales)… throughout the pictures sixty-five minutes the viewers bombarded with silly sight gags, corny quips, and rapid-fire ideas thrown forth with wild abandon!
The cast is fangtastic and totally game for the irresistible nonsense at hand which besides vamps also includes; a wise-ass masked man living in closets who’s job is scaring children (think Monsters Inc, but just with a dude in a domino mask instead of various lovable creatures), werewolves, a flesh eating goo monster… there’s even a dishonest record producer, mini-stake laden tennis balls used against those who hunt the night, and even a brief bit of time travel… though that last one doesn’t feature as prominently as the title would lead you to believe… hell, I haven’t even mentioned The Dark Lord’s (J. Adam Young) “Bite Them in the Butt” music video!
While Vampire Time Travelers is stuffed with fun ideas and goofy charm, Visual Vengeance have once again provided the viewer with an ass-load of extras to accompany the fanged frenzied feature!
Things kick off with a highly entertaining audio commentary from Les Sekely himself, followed by interviews with Sekely, Actresses J. J. Rodgers & Angelia Scott, and Director of Photography Dennis Devine and Assistant Director Steve Jarvis.
Also included are a short film (The Not-So-Grim Reaper) and the film’s re-cut trailer… but that isn’t all as we get a second Sekely feature, I Know What You Did in English Class (2000) which involves a group of dudes facing off against the psychic manifestation of a teacher they drove insane in high school… non-stop visual puns, crazy dialog, wild situations, and (perhaps most importantly) constant cartoon sound effects!
I Know What You Did in English Class is backed up by it’s own set of special features that include another audio commentary from Sekely, followed by interviews with Sekely, Cinematographer Russ Lindsay, Director of Photography Dennis Devine & Assistant Director Steve Jarvis, and Actor Russell Towne, and the film’s trailer!
Additionally the package includes a faux-retro sticker sheet, a reversible sleeve, and a folded mini-poster!
If you dig your fang bangs delivered Looney Tunes-style your arcane ass will absolutely devour this release of Vampire Time Travelers!
