If you thought your commute was bad, try surviving a 1990s Scottish Highlands overrun by undead livestock with a taste for human flesh. Bunkhouse Games and Shoreline Games have officially confirmed that their chaotic co-op PvE adventure, Flock Off!, is bleating its way onto Steam in 2026.

To celebrate, they’ve dropped a brand-new trailer that is exactly as unhinged as “chainsawing a zombie ram” suggests.

The “Baaa-d” News: Dolly’s Revenge

Born from the mind of Matthías Guðmundsson—the former lead developer at CCP Games who decided that space spreadsheets (EVE Online) weren’t nearly as high-stakes as mutant mutton—Flock Off! transports players to an alternate-reality Scotland.

It turns out that early 90s scientific cloning experiments went slightly south. Instead of a breakthrough in agriculture, we got a “Sheepocalypse.” Now, herds of mindless, woolly adversaries are roaming the moors looking for snacks. And unfortunately, you’re on the menu.

Gameplay: If You Can Pick It Up, You Can Kill With It

Flock Off! is a 1-4 player genre-bender where the environment is your armory. Sure, you could use a chainsaw, but why do that when you can lob a bedroll, a bag of potatoes, or a giant shelf at a charging Highland cow?

Key Features Include:

-The “Paul” Tactical System: Short on ammo? Grab your friend Paul and hurl him into the fray. In Flock Off!, teammates are just projectiles waiting to happen.

-The Highlands’ Most Wanted: Battle waves of undead sheep, llamas, and the legendary (and now very hungry) Highland cows.

-Solo or “Hand-in-Hand”: Tackle the carnage alone if you’re a masochist, or bring three friends. The devs suggest holding a weapon instead of your friend’s hand, though—undead sheep aren’t big on romance.

-Weird & Wonderful Loot: Enhance your firepower with boomboxes, trash bags, and glue bottles. It’s MacGyver meets Dawn of the Dead, but with more lanolin.

From the Herd Leaders

“The ‘moorish’ nature of Flock Off! has made it impossible to put down during playtests,” says Keith Kawamura, CEO of Shoreline Games. “It’s weird, it’s chaotic, and it’s the only game where a traffic cone is a viable survival strategy.”

Ólöf S. Magnúsdóttir, Creative Director at Bunkhouse Games, adds: “We’re one step closer to making the zombie-sheep-slaying game of our dreams. It’s been a privilege to work on something that brings this much joy and absolute bonkers energy to the table.”

Quick Specs: Flock Off!

-Release Date: 2026

-Platform: PC (Steam)

-Players: 1-4 Player Co-op

-Vibe: Left 4 Dead meets a Scottish petting zoo from hell.

Pro Tip: While waiting for the game, if you want a taste of “sheep-gone-wrong” horror, check out the 2006 cult classic film Black Sheep. It features genetic experiments, New Zealand scenery, and plenty of “mutton-y” gore. You can stream it now to prepare your psyche for the woolly carnage ahead. You can find it on Prime Video, Plex, Fawesome, and Fandango at Home.
