Hold onto your hats, “Dexter” fans, because this is getting wild! Neil Patrick Harris is officially joining the cast of “Dexter: Resurrection,” and the internet is exploding with excitement. Seriously, the lineup for this spin-off is absolutely insane!

We’re talking Michael C. Hall reprising his iconic role as Dexter Morgan, the blood spatter analyst with a dark secret, and now, he’ll be sharing the screen with Neil Patrick Harris. But that’s not all! They’ve also snagged Peter Dinklage (Leon), Krysten Ritter (Mia), and Uma Thurman (Charley).

According to Showtime, “Dexter: Resurrection” picks up 15 years after the original series ended. We’ll see the world through Dexter’s eyes, with the show narrated by him following a near-death experience. This is the third spin-off, following “Dexter: New Blood” and the oh-so-good prequel, “Dexter: Original Sin.”

Details about Harris’s character, Lowell, are currently being kept under wraps. This has led to much speculation, with many fans suspecting he might be playing an antagonist. “Ok, he’s the killer, and we know it, already,” one fan playfully tweeted.

Harris, known for his roles in series like “How I Met Your Mother,” recently showed off his darker side as “The Toymaker” in “Doctor Who.” So, he’s got the range to play a complex character in the Dexter universe.

Filming for “Dexter: Resurrection” is currently underway in New York City. The show is expected to premiere sometime this summer on Paramount Plus. With a stacked cast and a premise this intriguing, it’s safe to say this will be one of the year’s most anticipated shows.

If you haven’t seen the first season of “Dexter: Original Sin,” which sees Dexter as a young man, I urge you to do so. It is fantastic, and the cast is spot on.
