David Harbour is officially squeezing back into the blood-soaked suit for a second round of festive carnage in Violent Night 2, the high-octane sequel from action powerhouse 87North, the legendary production house behind Bullet Train, John Wick, The Fall Guy, and Nobody. Director Tommy Wirkola is back at the helm, proving once again that season’s greetings are best served with heavy artillery.

In 2022’s smash-hit Violent Night, a sledgehammer-wielding Saint Nick wiped out a mercenary squad to save a rich family’s Christmas. However, this time around, Santa is trading chimney drops for storefront brawls. He’s going head-to-head with a ruthless mob boss—played by Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Jared Harris. The bad guy makes a terrible mistake when he takes the merchants of the Silver Bell Mall hostage.
There’s just one tiny snag: Santa has lost his magic.
Deprived of his supernatural mojo and suffering an existential holiday crisis, Kris Kringle has to remember what Christmas spirit actually means while beating a path through a small army of mobsters. Outmatched and running out of time, he’s forced to call in the ultimate secret weapon—the one person in the North Pole nobody dares to cross: Mrs. Claus, played by Emmy nominee Kristen Bell.
A Slay-Ride Cast
Joining Harbour, Harris, and Bell in this yuletide brawl is a stacked ensemble that blends Hollywood royalty, cult favorites, and pro-wrestlers. Joe Pantoliano (The Sopranos, The Matrix), Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor (The Babysitter, Greenland), and Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) (AEW, The Iron Claw) are ready for the fight.
Behind the Mayhem
The original creative team has reassembled to make sure the sequel hits just as hard as the original. Action maestro Tommy Wirkola directs from a script by returning writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller (Sonic the Hedgehog). 87North founders Kelly McCormick and David Leitch are producing.
Universal Pictures will release Violent Night 2 exclusively in theaters on December 4. Consider your holiday plans officially booked. Don’t forget to leave the milk and cookies out. You don’t want this Santa to put you on his naughty list!
