There’s more than just the cold coming to give you chills fall. Sudder has just revealed the premiere date for the chill-inducing horror-thriller Goody Goody. The streaming horror giant has also served up the first look.
Snowbound and Scared
When a prolonged, grueling home birth slows to a peaceful crawl, an expectant couple and their midwife settle into a false sense of security. Nature, however, has other plans. A howling blizzard seals the house off from the outside world. The cozy sanctuary rapidly devolves into a claustrophobic nightmare. Trapped indoors with nowhere to run, the trio must face mounting, otherworldly complications that suggest this impending delivery carries a far more sinister burden than simple medical distress.
The Folklore Mind Behind the Fear
Steering this icy nightmare is North Hollywood writer and director Raymond Creamer. Drawn to ghost stories from a young age, Creamer weaves his deep-seated obsession with regional folklore directly into the narrative bones of his filmmaking. A devoted student of cinema, Creamer draws quiet inspiration from the legendary film scholar Donald Richie, bringing a deliberate, atmospheric tension to his tales.
