Just when audiences thought it was safe to trust a climbing harness or step onto a tall ladder again, the franchise that turned a 2,000-foot TV tower into an arena of pure panic is back for another round. Get ready for terror to rise to dizzying new heights. The Fall 2: Deadpoint, the high-octane follow-up to the 2022 sleeper hit, is coming to theaters.
When A Tropical Paradise Turns Deadly
The original kept viewers gripping their armrests over two friends trapped atop a rusty metal lattice. However, the sequel swaps artificial architecture for natural vertigo. It shifts the fight for survival to the unforgiving, vertical rock faces of Thailand.
The film centers on a fresh pair of thrill-seeking friends who set out to conquer legendary sheer cliffsides in search of the ultimate adrenaline rush. What begins as an idyllic, high-altitude expedition quickly devolves into a desperate fight against the laws of physics. Crumbling rock faces, blistering heat, and a lack of safety gear leave them stranded hundreds of feet above the jungle floor. With no solid foothold, no shelter, and no rescue team, every movement becomes a razor-thin negotiation between life and lethal gravity.
A Visionary Creative Team and a Stacked Lead Cast
Stepping in to direct this vertigo-inducing nightmare are Michael and Peter Spierig, better known as The Spierig Brothers (Predestination, Jigsaw). They are bringing their signature flair for relentless suspense to the franchise. The screenplay is penned by original Fall creators Jonathan Frank and Scott Mann. They produce alongside James Harris, Mark Lane, David Haring, and Christian Mercuri.
Leading the doomed ascent is a talented trio of stars featuring Harriet Slater (Pennyworth), Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story), and Tom Brittney (Greyhound).
Engineered to trigger sweaty palms and instant acrophobia, Fall 2: Deadpoint climbs into theaters nationwide on September 2, 2026. But don’t wait; get your tickets now.
