This weekend has been packed with major horror announcements, trailers, and teasers, from Frankenstein to “Stranger Things” and “Dexter: Resurrection“. Now, The Black Phone 2 has officially joined the list, unveiling its trailer ahead of its highly anticipated release this fall!

The original film followed 13-year-old Finney Shaw (Mason Thames). He was abducted by the sadistic, mask-wearing child killer known as The Grabber (Ethan Hawke). Things took an eerie turn when a disconnected phone on the wall of his prison began to ring, allowing Finney to hear the voices of The Grabber’s previous victims, offering him clues to escape.

A New Location, Familiar Terror

The new trailer has given us a tantalizing glimpse into a key new location, different victims, and, of course, the return of that ominous black phone. The trailer sees Finnley (Mason Thames) answering a call in a phone booth with The Grabber’s (Ethan Hawke) voice on the other end. Flashes of brutal encounters with newly revealed victims play. The trailer suggests that the sequel will be even more action-packed and brutal than the original. And we are here for it.

Madeleine McGraw and Jeremy Davies are reprising their roles alongside Hawk and Thames, promising to continue the terrifying saga. Madeleine McGraw (Toy Story 4), Jeremy Davies (“Justified”), and Demián Bichir (The Nun) have joined the cast.

Just in Time for Halloween

The Black Phone 2 is scheduled to hit cinemas on October 17, 2025. Get ready to answer the call! Want to rewatch the original? You can find it streaming on Apple TV and Peacock.
