Please ensure your seatbelts are fastened. If you already experience baseline anxiety regarding turbulent flights or claustrophobic airplane cabins, you should definitely brace yourself. Black Box, also known as Black Box: Flight 298, is now streaming.
High-Altitude Horror Powered by Genre Veterans
Based on the acclaimed short film The Vessel, this supernatural horror film boasts a massive production pedigree behind the camera. Stephen Susco penned the terrifying screenplay, known for his work on The Grudge and Texas Chainsaw 3D. Furthermore, director Steven Quale helms the project, bringing his proven expertise in crafting inventive death sequences from Final Destination 5.
Supernatural Turbulence Traps Passengers in Airborne Hell
The narrative takes the standard “flight from hell” trope and aggressively forces it through a brutal meat grinder. During a routine domestic flight, passengers suddenly encounter a terrifying gauntlet of raw, claustrophobic panic amidst inexplicable phenomena. As a result, terrified travelers must fight impossible odds as technological malfunctions, supernatural occurrences, and alien influences collide at thirty thousand feet.
A Powerhouse Cast and Production Team
The production assembled a strong ensemble cast featuring Tom Brittney and Holly Leena White in key roles. The supporting lineup also includes Betsy Blue English, Dane Whyte O’Hara, Kaja Chan, Asa Ali, and Weronika Rosati.
Behind the scenes, producer Alex Lebovici of Hammerstone Studios leads the project following his massive success with Barbarian. He is joined by Jon Oakes, Christian Mercuri, David Haring, and The Final Destination veteran Warren Zide.
Buckle Up
If you want to inject pure, claustrophobic dread into your movie night, you can watch Black Box (Flight 298) now on Paramount+. However, you might want to think twice before booking a window seat for your next real-world vacation.
