Fans of found footage horror know the Hell House LLC franchise well. We’ve got great news. Terror Films just announced a three-year deal to make Shudder the franchise’s home.
Expanding the Horror Library
The agreement brings four acclaimed early titles to the platform. First, fans can stream Hell House LLC and its Director’s Cut. Furthermore, Shudder will host The Abaddon Hotel and Lake of Fire. These classic movies join the newest installment, Hell House LLC Lineage. The deal also extends Shudder’s exclusive rights to Origins: The Carmichael Manor.
Executives Praise the Partnership
Terror Films CEO Joe Dain praised the new partnership. He called the agreement an incredible next chapter. Dain noted that Shudder audiences enthusiastically love these films. Therefore, uniting the franchise honors creator Stephen Cognetti perfectly. Courtney Thomasma leads streaming products for AMC Global Media. She called Hell House LLC a defining found-footage horror franchise. She also expressed excitement about hosting the entire fan experience.
“This agreement represents an incredible next chapter for a franchise we have believed in from the very
beginning,” said Joe Dain, CEO of Terror Films Releasing. “Shudder has been an extraordinary partner
to both Terror Films and the Hell House LLC franchise, and its audience has embraced these films with
tremendous enthusiasm. Bringing the franchise together under one exclusive streaming home feels like the
perfect way to honor everything Stephen Cognetti has created while introducing the films to an even
larger global audience.”
A Defining Found-Footage Classic
Stephen Cognetti wrote and directed the original Hell House LLC. Joe Bandelli produced the terrifying movie. Terror Films Releasing launched the film on digital platforms during 2016. Celebrating a Decade of Terror
Cognetti appreciates the franchise’s ten-year journey. He thanked Terror Films for consistently supporting the franchise. He also praised Shudder for aggressively advocating for horror filmmakers.
Meanwhile, the original film celebrates its tenth anniversary soon. As a result, Terror Films partnered with Iconic Events Releasing. They will bring the original movie to 400 theaters nationwide.
