Luke Scott’s sci-fi thriller Morgan has released a new teaser trailer, which has a serious Alien vibe. It’s not surprising, Luke Scott’s father is none other than legendary director Ridley Scott, who is a producer for the film. The trailer is dark and the lullaby playing in the background makes it very creepy. We see a child that has been created as part of an experiment, developing at an alarming rate.

In Morgan “A corporate troubleshooter (Kate Mara) is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she is to investigate and evaluate a terrifying accident. She learns the event was triggered by a seemingly innocent “human”, who presents a mystery of both infinite promise and incalculable danger.”

“What ‘Morgan’ really alludes to is human begins becoming, in a sense, the creator. Not in a traditional religious sense, but an idea that we have the capabilities to become our own creator. And what I suspect could happen – we’ve seen it in all these movies, wheater it’s Frankenstein or Metropolis – it’s the creation of a being that is greater than the creator.” Luke Scott told EW.

Morgan boasts an impressive cast that includes Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), Kata Mara (American Horror Story), Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones), Paul Giamatti (San Andreas) and Boyd Hollbrook (Gone Girl). Ridley Scott, along with Michael Schaefer and Mark Huffam are serving as producers for the film, which opens in theaters nationwide on September 2nd of this year.
