There are a lot of series adaptations on TV these days. Now, one of Alfred Hitchcock’s most famous films is being added to the list, Hitchcock’s 1963 classic The Birds, well, sort of. Word has come that the BBC is gearing up to make a series adaption of The Birds which will take inspiration directly from Daphne du Maurier’s novella that the famous film was based on.
Instead of focusing on Hedrin’s character, the series will center on a farmhand and the residents of a small town in Cornwall, England, plagued by a swarm of birds just after WWII. We should hear casting news soon.
