It has been a while since we’ve heard anything about the television adaption of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, until now. In an unrelated article at Deadline the news was buried that Amazon has claimed the series.
“As part of the effort, Amazon made a mega deal for a Lord Of the Rings TV series and is developing a slew of high-profile titles, including The Dark Tower, Wheel of Time, Ringworld, Lazarus and Snow Crash,” wrote Deadline, describing Amazon’s current desire to build their library.
Last we heard, Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead) was in line to be the series’ showrunner, but details have been few and far between. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available.
