Netflix‘s highly anticipated upcoming prequel series to the classic 1982 film The Dark Crystal, titled “Age of Resistance”, has just unveiled its cast and it’s amazing. Taron Egerton (Kingsman), Anya Taylor Joy (The Witch), and Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones) are actors who lend their voice to the three main characters of the film produced by the Jim Henson Company.
The voice cast of the Gelflings includes Catriona Balfe, Natalie Dormer, Helena Bonham-Carter, Eddie Izzard, Theo James, Toby Jones, Shazard Latif, Alicia Vikander, Toby Jones, Harris Dickson, and Mark Strong.
The Mystics and Skeksis are voiced by Mark Hamill, Jason Isaacs, Harvey Fierstein, Keegan-Michael Key, Simon Pegg, Olafur Darri Ólafsson, and Andy Samberg.
Netflix states that “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” returns to the world of Thra with an all-new adventure. When three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power, they set out on an epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellions and save the world.
“The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance” series is set to premiere sometime in 2019.
