The trailer has arrived for Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, starring Zaf Efron as infamous killer Ted Bundy. Directed by Joe Berlinger, the trailer gives the impression that the film is more about Bundy’s life than it is about his brutal crimes. You have to admit, Efron’s resemblance to Bundy is uncanny.
Lily Collins (Les Misérables) stars as Elizabeth Kloepfer, Bundy’s longtime girlfriend and whose point of view the film is told from.
John Malkovich plays the role of Judge Edward Cowart, who presided over Bundy’s trial and sentenced him to death, with Jim Parsons in the role of lead prosecutor Larry Simpson. Haley Joel Osment, Angela Sarafyan, Dylan Baker, Jeffrey Donavan, Terry Kinney, and Metallica frontman James Hetfield round out the cast.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile debuts at Sundance this weekend.
