After the success of David Gordan Green’s 2018 smash hit Halloween, it’s no surprise that is a sequel is already in the works. In fact, it seems Blumhouse has already found the sequels’ writer. Collider reports that Scott Teems is currently in talks to write the script.

This isn’t the first time Teems has worked with Blumhouse, he also penned the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s Firestarter.

As for the 2018 film’s cast, the site notes that Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak are likely to return. It’s unknown at this time if David Gordan Green will be involved.

Blumhouse could put a rush on the sequel aiming to release it this October, but odds are it won’t be out until next year.
