One of the best horror comedies of this decade, or any for that matter, is Eli Craig‘s Tucker and Dale vs Evil starring Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk. After years of waiting, fans will be happy to learn that we haven’t seen the last of the hillbilly duo! Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!
While talking with Escape Room a few days ago Labine stated that Tucker and Dale will be back to battle evil again soon.
We’re working on something right now. I wouldn’t call it a film sequel, but the story’s not done being told. I can’t really tell you much, but we’re in development with a couple of things right now. Things are looking pretty good. Alan and I are both still on board, along with Eli. We’re just trying to line up a few things. It’s just a matter of timing. We’re going to get something to the fans because that’s really the only reason we want to do it.”
The statement, “wouldn’t call it a film sequel” makes me wonder if there’s a series in the works. Either way, this girl is doing her happy dance! I hope we see something or learn more soon. Don’t worry, we’ll keep you posted.
Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk played the dynamic duo that headed to their newly purchased “vacation home” (a rundown cabin) in the backwoods only to rescue a young woman from drowning. Convinced that Tucker and Dale have kidnapped her they are on a rescue mission. Of course, the rescue attempts go badly for the college kids. The whole mess leads to side-splitting, bloody fun.
